Jeremy Wesler, a Bay Area native, has worked in sports broadcasting for over 15 years.
Goodnight Oakland A’s is his first book.
He started his career in the A’s video department, which culminated in two division title seasons (2012-13). He spent every game of those two seasons overlooking the action from the DiamondVision control room, living with every roar of the crowd that poured in the wide-open window on the press level, inviting the crowd to “MAKE NOISE” on the Coliseum’s old and outdated (but beloved) electric scoreboards. He adored working at this dream job with a close-knit crew of brilliant professionals to entertain A’s fans every day.
He’s broadcasted NCAA championships, heavyweight title fights, and multiple World Series, but nothing has matched the joy he felt serving A’s fans in Oakland.
In 2018 he founded Film Sprint, a short film challenge series for all ages and skill levels whose mission is to provide space to grow for the artist in everyone. He currently resides in Philadelphia, PA.
